PILATES CLASSES IN THE COMMUNITY HALL: Pilates classes are now held on most Monday evenings at 6.15 in the Community Hall. If you've always fancied trying Pilates but never quite got round to it - here's your chance. Contact Hilary Symmans, Pilates therapist, on hilary.pilates@hotmail.com or check out her website at Pilates for more information; or click here and here for her leaflet. There will also be an introductory workshop on 11 February in the Community Hall - click here for more information.

CHARITY 1940s TEA DANCE 26 FEBRUARY: A 'tea dance' in aid of Diabetes Research IOW will be held in the House on 26 February, 2.00pm-6.00pm. 'Now That's Jive' dance troupe will provide the music and will also be doing demonstrations and instruction. Period dress isn't obligatory, but if you'd like to dress in 40s style that would be great; there will be a prize for best dressed lady and gentleman and Vintage Hair Lounge will have a pop-up salon to style hair in period styles. Tickets are £10 each (including tea and cake). For more information call 247688.

NOT REALLY AN EVENT - but can be fun! Although the leaves have stopped falling in the park there are still heaps of dead ones to be swept up. They block drains and make the place untidy and we really need some help with them. Click here for a letter from the Chair of Trustees.

COWES HERITAGE EXHIBITION: Cowes Heritage group's fascinating exhibition about the history of the Ward family at Northwood House and Park was recently on display in the House. For more information about the exhibition, click here or check out the Cowes Heritage website. A book by Cowes Heritage about the Ward family and their connections with Cowes is available now - read more ...
