PRESS RELEASE – 13th December 2019
Santa Paws – a jolly Father Christmas just for dogs – was in residence at the Northwood House Christmas Fair on 23 & 24th November and was a hugely popular with our canine friends and raising £450 for the charity.
Cowes pooches take advantage of the public parkland surrounding Northwood House throughout the year – greeting each other with waggy tails and friendly sniffs on the paths and lawns while their owners enjoy the fabulous views over the Solent.
For the fourth year Santa Paws has been on hand during the Northwood House Christmas Fair to provide treats in his specially constructed grotto in the Community Hall.
Over the two days 112 very well-behaved dogs visited for a cuddle and a Christmas Portrait by our specialist canine photographer. It was a barking success!
“Thanks so much for the photos – I think I look great, not so sure about mum n dad! Hope you raised lots of money” – Love Tilly Scrumptious
“Thank you so much for sending through Lana’s photos – we all think they are wonderful.”
Donations are collected for Northwood House Charitable Trust to help fund enhancements to the House and Park. This year improvements in the park have included refurbishing benches, planting hedging at the car park entrance, repainting the nunnery steps and adding lighting, and continuing repairs to the paths.
